The Mario Rossi Band has become something like an international ambassador of the blues. They have really made themselves a presence in both Brazil and the United States. They are getting press from all over the world and their music is being played on major stations all over. They are getting closer to breaking out in a big way, and I, for one, can’t wait to see where they go after the success of Smoke Burst.
Listening to “Smoke Burst”, I was pleasantly surprised. To be honest, I was excited and couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was a musical journey, full of images, colors, emotions and emotion. It reminded me of John Mayall (Bluesbreakers) , Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green, SRV and more contemporary R&B artists such as Joe Bonamassa.
The result is breathtaking and critically acclaimed.
Brazilian based guitarist and singer Mario Rossi gives us a ‘Heavy’ dose of quality, powerful but controlled blues with his super- tight band.
Mario who is a fantastic guitarist and full of feeling. Those records that will surprise you, for those who like blues.
